You Need to Pray

If you read this blog for any amount of time, you will quickly realize I am a huge fan of prayer. I will say, I still battle greatly with the subject of unanswered prayer, which I will discuss later. I could go on and on about why you need to pray, but today I am just going to let the scriptures do the talking. Here are some verses to urge you to pray more.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 5:16

The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

1 John 3:22

And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do what pleases Him.

1 John 5:14-15

And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.

John 14:13-14

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Luke 11:9

And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

*These are just a handful of verses from the Bible on prayer. I invite you to add other verses in the comments!
